Today is Blue Dot Wealth Management’s One Year Anniversary!!! What a year it has been! Some of you may know that I am celebrating my 20th year in the Financial Services industry. However, May 9th, 2016 is the day that I started a firm based on a vision of how I could better deliver solutions and advice to clients while building a legacy for my family and my community. Mahatma Ghandi once said “Be the Change you want to see in the world”. This might be the fifth draft of our Mission Statement and I am sure that it will continue to evolve as the firm grows but I thought I would share it with you. Blue Dot Wealth Management believes that we can all leave the world a better place than how it was left to us. We will help our community by building an organization built on respect for the individual and an understanding of the social contract that binds all of us together. Our purpose is to be an advocate and fiduciary for our clients and friends. We are humbled by the responsibility and trust that our clients place in us. We help our clients identify the values that are important to them and design a financial plan that meets the goals for themselves, their families, and their community. In this way, we help make our community and our world a better place for succeeding generations.
I would like to take a few moments today to say Thank-You to a lot of people. First and foremost, I need to thank my lovely wife, Regina. She is the best partner in life that I could have ever hoped to fall in love with. She confided in me after most of the start-up “madness” was over, that she was nervous about losing a certain amount of security right before we had Piper even though she understood the bigger picture. She never waivered in her support and was a constant source of confidence and council. Second, the lifeblood of my business are the people, families, and businesses that I serve. Thank you for your continued confidence, support, encouragement, and yes, business. Many of you have been with me for years and the bonds that we have forged mean the world to me. You understood my frustrations and were willing to follow me on this journey. Your trust means more to me than I can express. Third, I have a large network of friends and business associates that have helped me with all of the things that come with starting a business. You have been a sounding board, a source of inspiration, and motivation and I appreciate each and every one of you.
There is a reason why we celebrate milestones in our lives – birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays make up the touchstones of memories, challenges and accomplishments as we move through life. If we do it right, we take a few of these moments to reflect and think about where we have come from. Just as importantly, we should think about where we want to go, how we can improve, and what lessons we have learned. I am excited about some of the improvements to our Client Experience that will be rolled out later this summer. In June, Krisdee will be reaching out to help me get information that is in my head on paper. Some of it is even fun information – hopefully you will enjoy the ideas behind our “All About You” questionnaire when you receive it. We have some fun Client Events planned for the summer and Fall and we will be sending out a Save the Date notice for our first ever Blue Dot Holiday Party for our clients and their families.
Again, I truly want to thank you for continuing this journey with me. I am looking forward to our future together!!!
